Company History

Heritage Exposition Services traces its beginnings to the early 1950’s with the opening of the Brede-St. Louis office (former division of Brede, Inc.). The Company was a pioneer of the exhibition industry in St. Louis and serviced major clients such as Anheuser Busch and McDonnell Douglas. Due to continued growth throughout the 60’s and 70’s the St. Louis Company established two separate divisions, the Exposition Services Contracting Division and the Display Group Division.

In 1982, the Company was acquired by Des Moines based Heritage Communications, one of the largest cable operators in the country. Through several acquisitions of leading display companies in the mid 1980’s, Heritage grew to one of the major display builders and designers in the country. In 1989 Heritage Communications was acquired by Tele-Communications Inc. (another larger national cable operator). The new owner divested itself of all of its non core cable assets and sold the display division of Heritage Communications, which included the St. Louis based exposition services contracting division, to private equity owners.

In 2001, the current management team, which has been in place for nearly 25 years, acquired the exposition services division and incorporated Heritage Exposition Services, Inc. Since that time, Heritage Exposition Services has significantly increased its national presence while continuing to invest in new technology, equipment and our employees. Throughout our history, our goal has remained constant: to insure our clients receive the very best service possible.
